NEW YORK, SAN FRANCISCO, SYDNEY – 21 February 2020—CBL Markets (CBL), an XCHG company and leading spot commodity exchange, today announced the addition of Nick D’Alleva as Vice President of International Carbon. D’Alleva’s role will focus on driving business expansion in the International Carbon Market.
D’Alleva brings more than 10 years of leadership and environmental-offset experience to the group. He joins XCHG after serving as Managing Director of APX, Inc., where he led the VCS registry business to new heights, significantly increasing market share through account openings and new projects. Prior to APX, he served as Vice President of Operations at Marsh & McLennan, where he managed the Core Data Entity Team, enabling business owners and technology teams with resources to address data requirements.
“Nick D’Alleva’s experience driving the APX VCS registry will fuel our growing presence in the International Carbon Market,” said XCHG Chief Commercial Officer Ben Stuart. “He will help us continue our exponential growth as businesses leverage the CBL marketplace to address rising demand for environmentally sound investment practices.”
“Corporate action and new industry programs are driving this demand,” D’Alleva added, “and CBL is in an opportune position to scale global carbon markets. We continue to see record trading months as CBL provides markets with unprecedented insights and opportunities. I’m thrilled to join this team and be part of the solution.”
The addition of D’Alleva as Vice President of International Carbon comes on the heels of rapid development for XCHG. In January, XCHG partnered with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to develop the world’s first Aviation Carbon Exchange (ACE), an innovative new way for airlines to meet emissions-reduction commitments as outlined in the Carbon Offset Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA).
